Pumpkin Patch Activities
Things to do beyond the pumpkins...
We offer a variety of activities to make your trip to our pumpkin patch something more than just picking out your pumpkin from the field.
You can choose to take a tractor-driven hayride out to the field to find that perfect pumpkin. Once you have found that pumpkin, you can explore our haymaze, take a cow train ride, build a dirt baby or visit with our farm animals.
Cow Train Rides
This fun new arrival from last year will be returning this year! Take a trip around the farm in these cute little cow cars. There are two different sizes of cars so the whole family can take a ride!
Dirt Babies
Long a tradition at Bushue's Pumpkin Patch, dirt babies are a creative and fun way to learn about how plants grows. Build them however you like; put them in water when you get home and watch them grow in the window.
Farm Animals
Pigs, chickens and sheep... Oh My!
While visiting our farm, you can check out the several farm animals we have. Our free-range chickens can be found wandering around the farm. Sheep and goats play in their pens or in the pasture. Nearby the sheep, pigs can be found dig and playing in the mud outside their barn. Sid, our half boxer, lab mix is always wandering around looking for someone to pet him.
Hay Rides
Hop on to the haybales and enjoy a ride out to the pumpkin field with your family! Along the way to the field you will travel through the fields filled with the variety of crops and plants we grow on the farm. Once you arrive at the field, you are free to spend as much time their as you please as the hayrides run on a fairly regular cycle.
Haymaze
Take the time to explore the variety of paths within the haymaze. Most of the haymaze is completely dark, but flashlights and an easier path are available for younger children. Take a flashlight, or don't, but don't miss out on the chance to test yourself in the maze!
