Do you offer school field trips?

Absolutely. A field trip to Bushue's Pumpkin Patch includes: a Hay Ride, the Haymaze, farm animals, building a Dirt Baby and of course, going out to the pumpkin patch to pick out a small pumpkin perfect for classroom activities. We also have a picnic area available for lunches or snacks. This fun learning experience is available for $6 per student, chaperones are free.

What about Birthdays and other group events?"

We have you covered as well. This package includes a Hay Ride, the Haymaze, farm animals, building a Dirt Baby and of course, going out to the pumpkin patch to pick out a small pumpkin. The picnic area is available for parties. One chaperone per child included. Extra chaperones pay $2 for the hayride.

Are the fields muddy and/or will we get dirty.

It really depends on the weather. Your best bet is to check the field status here before you head out. If it has been raining within a few days of your trip, expect lots of mud and plan accordingly. Other than that, it is perfectly possible to visit the pumpkin patch and not get dirty. In our experience, however, kids in the pumpkin patch inevitably get dirty so you might want to plan accordingly. A change of shoes or clothes and some plastic grocery bags are an easy way to keep your car clean on the ride home. Besides, getting muddy in the search for that perfect pumpkin is half of the fun of going to a real pumpkin patch!

What are your prices?

Our prices are posted by the end of September every year. Check here for prices at that time.

What all is there to do at your pumpkin patch?

We offer a variety of activities that extend beyond simply picking out your pumpkin. Build a Dirt Baby, take a Hay Ride, or pig train ride, and explore our indoor Haymaze. Finally, you can check out our pigs, sheep and chickens!

Do you grow all your own pumpkins?

Yes, we grow over 5 acres of pumpkins here every year! When you visit the pumpkin patch, you have the opportunity to visit the field (adjacent to the retail stand) or pick out a pumpkin which we have brought in from the field to the stand for those who do not wish to go out to the field in the rain, etc. All of these pumpkins, however, are grown and raised by us; we have too much fun growing them to bring them in from anywhere else.
